Are you ready to make a meaningful impact supporting the U.S. Navy? We're seeking a skilled Naval/Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) End User Support Technician to ensure user access to critical systems, applications, and peripherals.
Position Description: The Naval/Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) End User Support Technician provides command-level support to internal naval system users and peripheral devices.
Tasks/activities include, but are not limited to:
- Provides NMCI/Flank Speed end user support
- Assists the CNSL Information Technology (IT) Manager on the maintenance and upkeep of the headquarters and ashore
- Manages, maintains, and tracks NMCI seat and peripheral Contract Line Item Numbers (CLIN) orders for all headquarters and ashore subordinate commands
- Develops project and program plans and milestones
- Participates in program reviews, status assessments, project and program planning, and project status reviews
- Provides periodic NMCI Program Maintenance reports to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) to support annual budget reviews for NMCI services
- Responds to technical issues for the CNSL staff in support of the CNSL readiness assessment mission
- Provides hands-on assistance for non-help desk related issues
- Configures laptops for remote access for CNSL staff travel
- Maintains an accurate inventory of NMCI and government assets
- Provides end user support for NMCI hardware and software including various Microsoft products
- Assists with printer and peripheral device support
Compensation & Benefits: The annual projected pay range for this position is $50,406 - $60,750 with consideration being given to various factors including but not limited to qualifications, experience, job responsibilities, and geographic location.

Requirements
Minimum/General Experience: 5 years of experience working with NMCI networks
Minimum Education: High School diploma
Essential Skills/Qualifications:
- Above average experience providing customer support to internal systems (e.g., phone, email)
- Above average experience providing help desk support to the NMCI network
- Above average experience in submitting Move/Add/Change (MAC) and account build out requests
- Strong knowledge of Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV) Manual-5510 and Secretary of the Navy Instruction (SECNAVINST) 5239.1 publication series
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail skills
- Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships
- Ability to collaborate and problem-solve in a team environment
General Physical Requirements needed to perform the essential functions of this job may vary based on the location of the assignment.
- Assignment Location - COMNAVSURFGROUP SOUTHEAST, Naval Station, Mayport, FL; Consists of travel up to a 50-mile radius.
- Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Typing, communicating, repetitive motions.
- Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view computer monitors and read. May need to view presentation screens and other visual aids in a virtual setting.
- Inside environmental conditions with protection from outside elements.
Security: Must have an active Secret security clearance to be considered; Ability to maintain a DoD Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship
DoD Clearance Consists of a review of up to but not limited to:
- Covers 10 year period and in some instances lifetime events
- OPM Security Investigations Index (SII)
- DOD Defense Central Investigations Index (DCII)
- National Agency Check (NAC) records
- FBI name check
- FBI fingerprint check
- Credit report check
- A check of local law enforcement agencies with jurisdiction over the areas where the applicant has lived, worked, or attended school
- Education check- Attendance and Degrees
