Summary:
We are seeking a Large-Scale Assembly Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be crucial in assembling a wide variety of electronic components and systems. Your work will directly contribute to the quality and reliability of our products, from initial assembly to final system testing. This is an entry to intermediate level position for someone looking to grow with Viken detection and take on more responsibility as knowledge is gained.
Responsibilities:
• Performs box build and system level assembly on a variety of components, related to x-ray security scanners.
• Able to reliably travel between various Viken sites within Massachusetts including Burlington, Haverhill and Ayer (mileage reimbursed)
• Conduct basic repair including component swaps and minor mechanical changes.
• Follow detailed written assembly instructions and accurately record quality data throughout the process.
• As required, assist in the maintenance of material storage and system shipment activities.
• Records quality data during assembly
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure a safe and efficient production environment.
Requirements:Requirements:
- Technical school degree or high school diploma with related experience.
- Previous experience working in a production or assembly line environment is highly preferred.
- Experience using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Familiarity with a variety of hand tools, including torque wrenches, crimpers, and wire strippers.
- Relevant hobbies such as auto repair or home wiring are a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, be able to stand for extended periods of time and climb ladders and able to work in confined spaces.
